Our childcare is open Monday thru Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm
Preschool Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
WHAT FOODS DO YOU SERVE FOR MEALS?
Our menus and food items align with the USDA'S Child Food Program. We are required to follow certain guidelines when choosing menu items.
Breakfast: whole grain or protein & fruit
Lunch: whole grain, protein, fruit & vegetable
Snack: whole grain or protein & fruit or vegetable
Milk is served for breakfast & lunch - water is served for snack. Children under 2 wll be served whole milk, children over 2 will be served skim milk.
If your child has an allergy, we do accommodate!
WHEN DOES THE CHILDCARE CLOSE?
We operate year-round, minus a few Holiday's.
We are closed for the following;
1. Memorial Day
2. Independance Day
3. Labor Day
4. Hallowen (close at 4pm)
5. Thanksgiving Day
6. Day after Thanksgiving
7. December 24 - Jan 1
We also close when BCSC closes for weather (snow, ice).
We operate as normal when BCSC has a 2 hour delay.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYEES/STAFF?
All employees have received a background check through the state, 10-panel drug screen, TB test, CPR/First Aid certification, safe sleep training, fire safety training, how to handle a dangerous intruder, and training on how to handle a medical emergency. Each month employees are required to take an online training on a specific subject pertaining to childcare.
DO YOU DISCIPLINE CHILDREN?
No, we do not. We use redirection with children and help guide them to make positive behavior choices. We use a conscious discipline approach,and use a calm down area to help children regulate emotions.
WHAT DO I BRING ON THE FIRST DAY OF CARE?
Diaper bags, backpacks, and car seats are not permitted onsite.
First day of care items: Diapers, diaper rash creams, medication, 2 bottles, 2 pacifiers with clip, formula or breastmilk, several changes of clothing/underwear, and shoes if walking.
We provide food for children over 12 months of age. If they are under 12 months of age and eating table foods, we will provide meals. We also provide wipes (pampers sensitive).
DO WE OFFER TOURS?
Yes, we do offer tours for families. Typically, you join our waitlist, and when an opening becomes available, we offer a tour then. Tours are scheduled Monday thru Friday after business hours to respect the privacy of our enrolled families and children.
HOW DO WE STAY CONNECTED WITH ENROLLED FAMILIES?
We use Procare to document daily notes for children and to communicate. Procare is an app specifically for childcare programs. It allows teachers to document meals, diaper changes, potty, bottles, incidents and more. Notifications are sent as teachers document throughout the day. Messages can be sent between families and teachers.
